Executive function support through a motor and participation lens

Support should fit the person—not the other way around.

NEST Collective helps children, families, educators, and communities understand how executive functioning, physical and sensory needs, everyday demands, and surroundings work together—and build practical, human support for the things that matter most.

Find your way in

Begin with what you’re noticing, what matters, or what you hope could feel different.

Together, we’ll look across people, tasks, and environments to understand the whole picture and shape support around meaningful priorities.

Support is something we build together.

For children & families

Build support around what matters to your child and family.

Our work begins with curiosity: What matters to this child? Where does participation feel easier or harder? What strengths, relationships, strategies, and environmental supports can we build upon together?

  • Executive function support
  • Parent and caregiver consultation
  • Collaboration across home, school, and community
  • Child- and family-centered goals and strategies

Executive Function & Everyday Participation

Participation-focused coaching for families navigating routines, transitions, getting started, organization, emotional regulation, independence, and how thinking, sensory, and movement needs come together in daily life.

We look at the relationship among the person, the task, the environment, and the people offering support—then build practical approaches around the family’s own priorities.

About NEST

Clinical knowledge. Educational experience. A deeply human way of making sense of what feels complicated.

NEST Collective was founded by Shana Anders, PT, DPT—a school-based physical therapist, educator, parent of neurodivergent children, and unapologetic executive-function nerd.

Her work is shaped by clinical knowledge, years of educational practice, and the lived experience of supporting her family while learning to understand and support her own neurodivergent brain.

Shana brings movement science, school-based practice, and real-life perspective into work that is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that support should create access without taking away agency.
